The Heart of a Servant

I know, really, I do – this message series title lacks sizzle. It’s not very enticing. Honestly now, who of us naturally aspires to serve others? Would a motivational speaker like a Zig Ziglar get a sell-out crowd to an event with this title? I doubt it. So on what basis do I think you would be interested? Here it is: many of you sincerely want to become more like Jesus! We’re never more like Jesus than when we serve others with a loving heart. Therefore, may God, through the teaching of His Word in this series, inspire us to develop a servant’s heart to serve like Jesus. ~ Pastor Paul

New Series: 24

In the TV series, 24, Jack Bauer is currently on mission to save the residents of New York City from nuclear destruction; he has but 24 hours to succeed.  Similarly, at the climax of His earthly life, Jesus faces His final 24 hours of destiny in which He must successfully accomplish His rescue mission.  At stake are the eternal destinies of multiple millions of souls – including yours and mine.  In this series we will glimpse into Jesus’ thoughts and feelings from three main scenes of His last 24 hours.  As we do so, may our hearts and lives be moved to love Jesus more devotedly.   ~ Pastor Paul

Powerful Living describes well the lives of Christ-followers that are recorded in the New Testament book of Acts. Oh, to be sure, they went through their share of challenges, yet they were a dynamic people. What they said and did changed their world – and ours! Acts is the record of all Jesus began to do through His Spirit-empowered people. Jesus is continuing to do powerful things in our day too through the lives of people like you and me. Accept Jesus’ invitation to be among His followers who live powerfully.

Journeys: The Christmas Spectacular

The spectacular event of the first Christmas includes a series of unique and special journeys by various people.  During the month of December, come and look with us at these interesting journeys to learn of these people’s encounters with God.  By doing so, we’ll all be better guided in our life’s journeys with God too. ~ Pastor Paul

December 6 & 13 at 10:00 AM – Special lighting that will take you to another place, special music & dramas that will support powerful messages from the Word of God entitled “Angels: from Heaven to Earth” & “Mary & Joseph: from Nazareth to Bethlehem”

December 20 at 10:00 AM – A Special Christmas Opera presentation (in English) of “Amahl & the Night Visitors”by the Leopold School of Voice PLUS the next Journeys message entitled “Son of God: from Deity to Humanity”

December 24 at 6:00 PM – The series will peak as we join together around a large bon fire on the church grounds and share a traditional Christmas Eve program including carols, candlelight and a message entitled “You: from Darkness to Light” Feel free to wear jeans and bring along a lawn chair and a flashlight would be nice too!
(If we encounter inclement weather we will meet inside the Celebration Center.)

We all face times when our back is up against the wall and we don’t know where to turn for help. The grand news is, God is always there for us! For just about every type of difficult situations we face in life, God reveals to us one of His special names. Through each of these names, God describes one of His characteristics that you can count on to meet your need. God wants you to know, that He is always here for you. Nearly two years ago, I communicated several of these names, and now I will reveal several more wonderful names and promises of God to us. This discovery begins August 2.
