20. The Harvest

Revelation 14 is a collection of visions culminating in a harvest of wheat (the righteous) and of grapes (the wicked). A vision of God’s people in heaven and three angelic announcements also provide dramatic contrasts between those who follow the Lamb and those who worship the beast. In this chapter we see four marks of genuine Christ-followers: 1) Christ-centered identity; 2) Christ-exalting worship; 3) Christ-like purity and; 4) Christ-empowered freedom. This is an opportunity for honest and sincere self-evaluation. The final evaluation from King Jesus is coming soon!
