Biblical Meditation

King David calls God’s people to worship using the book of Creation and the book of Scripture. Psalm 19 concludes with questions and prayers regarding a righteous heart and life. How can we keep our words and thoughts acceptable to the Lord? We must learn to fill our minds with the truth and goodness of God, which we can experience generally in the created world and specifically in the pages of Scripture. This Psalm invites us into the discipline of Biblical meditation – not emptying our minds but filling them with what is “true and noble and excellent and praiseworthy!”
