One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ). He brought him to Jesus.

John 1:40-42

One of the greatest joys in life is introducing one friend to another friend. When you love and enjoy someone it is a special delight to share that person with another friend you know and love.

For those who love Jesus, the greatest privilege and joy of our lives is to introduce our friends to Him.

Sometimes we stress and worry about bringing Jesus into our conversations. But it should be very comfortable and natural for us to bring up the Person we love and enjoy most.

Is it hard for you to talk about a TV show you like? Why not? It’s on your mind. Some parts were inspiring or meaningful to you. You think your friends will benefit by watching it. What about a new restaurant or an amazing dish you really like?

If we can promote something as mundane as a television program, why can’t we shamelessly promote the King of Kings, the Savior of the world?

“I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.”

Romans 1:16

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ – the eternal Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a life of perfect righteousness, died on the cross as the sacrifice for sinners like you and me, and rose again victorious over sin and death forever. This message is, in itself, the power of God that brings salvation. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ” (Rom. 10:17).

The word “evangelism,” can raise your heart rate but all you are doing is making an introduction. And it’s the most important relationship in the world! Imagine your friend had cancer and you knew the best oncologist in town. Would you hesitate to make that introduction?

We know the Great Physician who can heal the disease of sin and protect us from death itself. Let’s help as many people as possible to Meet Jesus!
