29. The Invitation

Now we arrive at the last chapter of Revelation, which is the final chapter of the Bible! Remarkably, it is an open invitation to anyone with ears to hear. First we see two transformations in the new heavens and earth: 1) Eden will not only be restored but will be upgraded and; 2) The curse of sin and separation from God will be removed forever. Then the chapter concludes with three applications: 1) Believe that God’s promises will soon be fulfilled; 2) Prepare for the Lord’s return and; 3) Invite everyone you can to join us with the Lord forever. Come be encouraged by this open invitation drawn from Isaiah 55:1 – “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!”
