5. The Transformation

The climax of the one story of God is the coming of Jesus and His death and resurrection. Through His finished work on the cross Jesus enabled the complete transformation of heart and life that was necessary for the church to be created and empowered to bring the good news of the kingdom to all nations. The gospel has four wonderful dimensions showing that we are saved: 1) by grace alone; 2) through faith alone; 3) in Christ alone; 4) for God alone. We are not saved by good works but Ephesians 2:10 makes it clear that we are saved for good works. Come be inspired by the truth that Jesus gave you credit for His righteousness so He could increasingly see that righteousness shining through you, bringing peace, justice and love to a dark and broken world!
