4. The Great Commission

As followers of Jesus, what is our mission in the short time on earth we have? Before ascending back into heaven, Jesus gave his disciples clear instructions to continue the task he had started with him. This mission is called the Great Commission and is found in Matthew 28:16-20 as the last words of Matthew’s gospel. Why is it vital to obey this commission? What is the command? How do we carry it out? Who is there to help us obey? It’s all right here in these five important verses. Let’s study and apply them together this Sunday!
