1. Come to Me

This Sunday we begin a new series on discipleship, exploring what it means to follow Jesus. It’s incredible, first of all, that Jesus invites any of us to be His disciples. Just as the original group of disciples were ordinary people, so are we! Yet Jesus does call us to come and walk with Him. We are so bombarded with offers and invitations that this call from the Lord Jesus can get lost in all the noise. What is Jesus really presenting? We will see four parts of His invitation, which is: 1) Personal; 2) Open to anyone; 3) Serious (the stakes could not be higher!) and; 4) Amazing. This is a great week to invite a friend or family member who needs to hear the good news in a fresh way. Read over Matthew 11 to be reminded how good this good news really is! “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
