23. The Fall of Babylon

After the seven bowls of God’s final wrath, we see the results in the fall of Babylon and the self-destruction of evil. Revelation 17 and 18 provide three dramatic warnings: 1) those who drink the cup of immorality will drink the cup of judgment; 2) those who ride the beast of violence will be devoured by it and; 3) those who ignore Biblical wisdom will be led astray by demonic deception. Thankfully, there is also a wonderful promise in these chapters for those who belong to Jesus: one day our “how long?” groanings will turn into rejoicing “Hallelujahs!”
