8. The Great Commitment

God is always working. We have the honor and expectation from the Lord Jesus to join God in that work. To help us as we do, Jesus gave us many “great and precious promises.” This Sunday we will reflect on three of those promises and encourage one another with them. First, Jesus promised to build His church so that nothing could stop it. Second, Jesus promised that the gospel would be proclaimed to all nations. Third, Jesus spoke comfort to His disciples by promising to come back for us. As we seek to obey the Great Commission, empowered by the Great Companion, we can rely on the Great Commitment from the Lord Jesus that our work cannot fail. So be encouraged as we press on together!
