24. Don't Worry
May 17, 2026 - Matthew 6:25-32Don't Worry
Jesus concludes Matthew 6 with a threefold command to “not be anxious.” Followers of Jesus are not to be overly concerned, preoccupied, or worried about little things like food, water, or clothing. Worldly people chase after these things, but godly people trust in our heavenly Father to provide for us as He does for the birds and the flowers and everything else. As it turns out, worry is a faith problem, not a practical one related to our circumstances. So let’s face our worries head-on and do battle with them by building up our faith in our God, who knows, who cares, and who provides for everything we need. Read and pray over Psalm 27 as we come together to worship the Lord who is our light and salvation and who casts out our fears!
