8. Peacemakers

The roots of faith (humility, repentance and submission) enable us to grow in Christ as we hunger and thirst for righteousness, all of which will produce the fruit of faith: mercy, purity and the ministry of a peacemaker. The beatitudes are sequential and build on one another, enabling us to build momentum to address serious challenges like conflict in our own lives and in those around us. Come Sunday to reflect first on how God made peace with each of us and then how He calls us to join in that peacemaking ministry with others. God calls us His children and expects us to join in the family business. As those who have been reconciled with God we are now ambassadors of reconciliation to a world in desperate need of peace!
